Welcome back to Friday’s Hunt. I want to thank everyone who joined in last week. I had a lot of fun visiting everyone who linked up. I’m excited for week nine! It’s very simple. Anyone can participate. The link opens at 7pm Central time and will close Sunday at 7pm, so you have plenty of time to enter. Hopefully, you’ll be inspired to visit some of the other entries.
If you didn’t participate this week but would like to next week, the topics will be: Starts with J, Week’s Favorite, and a cuppa. I will always keep a list of the items for the coming week in my sidebar at the top. Without further ado, here’s my interpretations for the week.
Starts with I: I am still reeling from the loss of our EG Camera Girl. As we went through the alphabet, she was capturing each letter in her surroundings. I thought I would look around and see if I could locate a letter I. I went inside the barn and immediately found Dolly sampling the mineral block.
Finally, I looked up and saw it. I decided you really didn’t want to see the bird droppings running down the rafters though, so I kept looking. There it was. The nice line of light coming beneath the rafters. It looks like an I to me.
Week’s Favorite: It’s been a long busy week without many opportunities to get my camera out. When I got home tonight and got done locating my letter, I saw that Pistol’s boys were outside. They looked awfully cute, and they were chewing their cuds! They’re not quite a month old, and they are already developing their rumens, which will allow them to get nutrients from the hay that they eat with their mom and aunt Muffin.
Something blue. This afternoon, all you had to do to find blue was look up.
I also noticed that there were a bazillion black birds in the tree tops. They were so noisy it was almost deafening. I see the bright wings of the red-winged blackbird.
That certainly means spring is here!
Thank you so much for joining me in Friday’s Hunt. Now it’s your turn to link up.
Thanks for hosting the hunt Teresa.
It’s my pleasure, Tom. I’m having a lot of fun with this.
I, too, am still reeling from our loss of EG, Tina. I was so enjoying her very creatve alphabet finds.
It was quite a shock. I thought she might like it that I had her covered this week.
I think that’s a wonderful tribute to her, the way you found your letter I!
Thanks, Alica. I hope she would like it.
The loss of Tina and her whimsical letters are missed – and your ‘I’ is in that same whimsical style. Nice! Your cute babies are always a favorite sight, and the birds set against the bluest of blue skies offer us a glimpse of Spring to arrive soon!
It really is starting to look and feel like spring. It is much needed.
I love the favorites picture and the birds in the trees. We all are just shocked by EGCG’s passing – so very sad. It shows how close our online community has become.
I do love the online blogging community. It really is a very caring group of people.
Sad news, the loss of EG Camera Girl and her husband. It’s been a rough week, in many ways. It’s nice to see a cloudless, brilliant blue sky. We’re still inundated with large flocks of Starlings, Cowbirds, and Red-winged Blackbirds. They sure can eat! Tommy and PJ are so cute out there. They look like best buddies. 😀 Thanks for hosting!
Thanks for stopping by Patti. It was really nice to have sunshine. We have beautiful weather again today.
Your first pic is stunning! And those two are so cute. Thanks for hosting Fri Hunt! Hope you can join me somewhere between Mon. And Wed. In Seasons. Enjoy your weekend:)
Thanks. The boys just keep getting bigger as they grow.
You always have such terrific photos to share. Always a pleasure to stop by and say hello.
I do appreciate your visits, Anne.
I am sorry to hear about the passing of Camera Girl and her husband too. Life is so fragile. It was good to know her here and she will be greatly missed.
She will be missed by many.
Your goats look cute as a button, as always. You have really found a heap of black birds.
The birds were everywhere in the tops of the trees. It was like a scene from a Hitchcock movie.
Pistol’s boys look really cute ! I wished we had such a blue sky ! I didn’t know about EG Camera girl. That’s so sad.
It was a gorgeous blue sky! I was very saddened to find out about her and her husband’s deaths.
Love tommy and pj as well as the Blackbirds on the tree. Thanks for hosting but unfortunately my laptop is still not returned fixed so I cannot enter this week. Sorry.
I do hope your get your laptop back soon and have all of your wonderful vacation photos.
Tina would have been proud of the ‘I’ you found in the barn, she had been seeing alphabet letters in some obvious places others would have missed.
As much as we miss her in the blogging world, Tina’s garden club is scrambling to fill her shoes as she was involved in a number of roles.
Thanks for hosting Teresa.
Thanks. I was really enjoying her alphabet series. As hard as losing her is for the blogging community, I can only imagine how difficult it is for those who knew her in real life and lost both Tom and Tina.
