As we go into the weekend, I’m going to be trying to figure out how to switch goats around and prepare for the next round of kidding. Enjoy just some of the scenes from around the farm.

Horace

Ms. Goose likes to dig through the hay and ends up filling my food pans with muck. It’s really annoying.

The herd eating their corn out of those food pans after I empty all the muck out.

Dolly still likes coming in for sweet feed.

Odie on pasture–I can hardly wait for green.

Maisie

My old ladies are doing a good job of laying. The leghorns are the best!

Herbie is such a fluff ball.

Nessa

Mr. Peacock still holds his foot up a lot.

He can walk on it though–he’s doing better at opening the toes up.

Perdita is not happy when I lock her in at night, but I will not let her take Moxie out all night again.
Happy Friday!

Cute critters and photos. Nessa is a sweetie. Perdita is close to getting stuck?
Have a happy weekend.
Not even close. She is putting her head through the space between the panel and the top door.
I think Nessa is one of the sweetest looking kids!
Is Perdita always ornery? I can’t remember…
I’m really glad that the peacock is improving.
Perdita has personality. I think that’s the nicest way to say it. I couldn’t wean her; she’s friendly and not; she likes to sneak in the chicken pen to eat. She’s got a lot of personality!
Okay! I guess that could also be a little bit of orneriness! She’s very pretty.
I have another question! It’s concerning that lovely leghorn hen. I thought only the roosters have spurs. I see a spur on that beautiful hen. Now I’m confused.
