Friday’s Hunt v3.10

10 Mar

Welcome back to Friday’s Hunt.  I want to thank everyone who joined in last week.  I had a lot of fun visiting everyone who linked up.  It’s very simple.  Anyone can participate.  The link opens at 7pm Central time and will close Sunday at 7pm, so you have plenty of time to enter.  Hopefully, you’ll be inspired to visit some of the other entries.

If you didn’t participate this week but would like to next week the topics will be:  Starts with K, Week’s Favorite, and drink.   I will always keep a list of the items for the coming week in my sidebar at the top.  I am crazy busy with teaching and working on the farm right now, but I will make sure to visit all participants.  Without further ado, here’s my interpretations for the week.

Starts with J: All the goats ever on the farm that start with J: Jack, Jack, Jacob, Jake, Jane, Java, Jelly, Jem, Jenny, Jerry, Jetty, Jilly, Joani, Joe, Junior, Justin.  We’ve added some over spring break: Johnny and Jinx.  Here’s Gidget with her two little J boys and her Gypsy girl.

Week’s Favorite:  I had really hoped to announce Blaze’s babies for the week’s favorite because once she has her kids, I get to sleep all night!  As of 5:30 this afternoon, however, no babies.  How can I pick a favorite with all the sweet babies we’ve had this week?  I’ll just share Vixen’s little girl.  She is adorable, and you really couldn’t see her in the picture I shared yesterday.

Birds or wings: I haven’t done much besides kids this week (what was I thinking.  I should have made the prompt kids.), but I did see a hawk flying above my Back Forty when I was out checking on goats.

Now it’s your turn!

I love watching the Hawks do their soaring. Thank you for finding me one. We had a lot of them, and Buzzards, up in Montgomery (Texas), but I don’t ever see one here in city life at Katy (also Texas). Would John be okay? My first cousin, John, died this February. We were close growing up.

The moms and babies are adorable – and I expect you to lose sleep when she finnaly delivers 🙂 The hawks soar majestically overhead – Snickers should pay attention to the predator above and stay off the roof!

Gidget and her babes are all beautiful! I’ve enjoyed seeing all the names of your goats, both past and present. Vixen’s doe is cute too…though I’m still partial to the multicolored ones. 😉

Oops! Now that I look at her picture again, I see that she’s NOT white!

Gidget and her girls have really a fancy pattern ! Love your favorite too. With birds it’s rather difficult, I don’t know where they are hiding, it’s still too cold maybe !

Gidget’s babies sure are fancy – what wonderful markings they all have. Lovely to see Vixen’s doe, too. I love her knee spot. How are the chickens doing these days? The hawk made me think of them.

After I finished some trapping, I haven’t lost anymore. I still have my 9 hens and those 3 stupid roosters.

Great to see all those healthy little ones this year. I’d better get my post done!
