The horribly wet summer and not getting the June kids into the Back Forty because of the rain (and not being able to make hay) has been hard on them. I’ve struggled to keep them free of worms and they’ve not grown well.
Because of that, I haven’t banded the little boys. I don’t want to stress their systems, even though they are all looking better.
That means I don’t really want the boys and the girls together (although I do have three boys to wean yet). I think my petting zoo up north will be mostly my boys.
Who knows, even Sam and Xerxes might get to go up there when they aren’t busy with their important job of being bucks.
I don’t think I noticed the pattern marking on Xerxes legs before. He is a really handsome fellow. I guess I’m partial because he reminds me of chocolate.
I love his markings! He’s such a good looking buck too.
I love Sam’s hairdo
I do too! Love my curly banged boys!
Sam and Xerxes are both adorable! They will make beautiful babies!
I hope they give me some adorable and sweet girls to keep.
Such handsome. Guys
Thanks. I do adore them!
Adorable pictures.
Thank you, Erika.
Great pictures! Bet you’re getting more & more excited the closer it gets!
More excited and more nervous!
That topknot on Sam is very fetching!
I love his curly bangs! They remind me of Fionn’s.
I bet Sam and Xerxes will enjoy being part of a petting zoo…if they can find time, that is. 😉
Xerxes is pretty shy, but Sam would love having people feed him treats.
Sorry to hear. They look happy and healthy though.
They are improving. That’s a good thing.
Cuties all
They really are. Hopefully, they’ll keep growing stronger too.
