Transferring Pumpkin Wine

We transferred the pumpkin wine tonight.  It looks like Sunny D.  There is no hint of green, and the taste is good.  I think we’re going to get the wine we wanted.

Remember if you make pumpkin wine, you have to be very picky with the pumpkin you use.  We used a multi-purpose pumpkin (pie or carving) that had the softest skin we could find.

It’s bright orange right now, but it should finish almost clear.  It’s amazing to watch how quickly it looses it’s color.
