This is what it looks like from my front yard. There’s nothing growing, and my animals huddle in the barnyard. The cows on the back field belong to the neighbor.
It’s hard to get everything done in the evenings now. It will be like this until mid-January. Luckily I have ten days of winter break during some of those shortest days, but right now it’s a rush. Are you struggling to get everything packed into the fewer hours of daylight?
A bit of good news! My camera is on it’s way home from its cleaning.
I also wanted to share that my goat, Millie, is hosting a giveaway on her blog. She is giving away two bars of goat’s milk soap. You can click HERE to check it out and enter.

Lovely shot.
Thanks. I think I’m treated to a beautiful view year round. 🙂
Teresa, that photo looks like a painting! Beautiful shot. I am also Millie’s newest follower. 😉 xo
Thanks. You don’t even have to follow to enter the giveaway, but she appreciates it!
What a glorious, frosty shot. Yes, it is hard to get everything done in the few daylight hours you have at this time of year.
Thanks. I feel like I’m running a race right now to get it all done.
What a beautiful view!!! Just a few short weeks until the days get longer!!!
I will certainly be celebrating the winter solstice and the return of the sun!
since i just ordered more soap from you, i won’t join in on the giveaway.
i love this shot for its light and perspective!
The soap is on its way! I do appreciate the order. I love the late afternoon light. I just wish it was a little later in the day when it happens.
What a lovely late afternoon view! Since I milk in the mornings, I am having to wait longer and longer for it to get a least a little bit light out! I’ll sure be celebrating the Solstice and the return of the Sun right along with you! 🙂
I’m milking in the dark. That’s why we’re in with the chickens right now. I would really love a real milking building. 🙂
I love the late afternoon light on the fence! Great color.
Thanks. It is my favorite time to take pictures.
I hear you on the short days. It is fustrating! The evening light is so lovely, though!
It is. I just keep missing it now. I’m doing chores until it’s dark.
great shot!! oh, i love giveaways … i hope you joined in on mine. be sure to do so … don’t miss out please. ( :
I’ll have to stop by. I didn’t have a computer, so I’m horribly behind.
I love this photo. I like the colours and the cows on the hill in the background.
It’s nice to see the cows. It’s a lot better than bare fields. 🙂
Love how the sun shines on the fence boards.
That late afternoon sun is wonderful!
The short days sure do make it challenging…I’m sure especially for you, since you’re working off the farm! Here’s to spring! 🙂
No kidding. I just realized this was from last weekend in the morning, not afternoon. Oops…
Good fence.
They are beautiful, but they aren’t very practical. I’ve had to “goat proof” them. 🙂
Oh, but this is a beautiful scene! I love the light and the colors. It’s so pretty there even in winter!
It really is a beautiful place that I live in.
I’ve just found life in general to be so busy lately!!
I’m visiting from the Thursday’s Favorite Things hop. 🙂
I’m so glad you took the time to stop by. I think it must be society in general. I always figured things would slow down once my son was grown, but it doesn’t seem to be working out that way. 🙂
Love the view…so nice. Thanks for sharing this, blessings!
I am very blessed to have such a beautiful open view! Thanks for stopping by.
The cows in the distance look so soothing. I’m sure the time change doesn’t help in getting chores done. So glad in Arizona we don’t change the time. Have a great weekend.
I would love to be on Daylight Savings Time year round!
pretty picture…and yes, i am having a hard time getting stuff done!
At least it won’t be too much longer before the days start getting longer.
Nice landscape shot…the lighting is so pretty!
Thanks. Those little bits of golden light are my favorite!
So compelling.
Thank you.
A perfect glimpse of country life. I love it.
Thank you. With the short days, glimpses are about all I can provide right now.
stunning! thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop.xo
