Well, I originally had this post ready to go for last weekend, but all the drama of moving chickens and a snowstorm put a pause on it. It’s still accurate, but there should be a lot of snow in there to make it current. I have so many woodpeckers around my acreage that it makes me happy!
I do love them.
So I decided I should be nice to them. I’ve had the bells before, but this is the first time I’ve tried one of these logs. Hopefully, the woodpeckers like it.
So far, I’ve only seen sparrows enjoying it.
And somehow, I came home to find that the log had fallen on the ground. I just tossed it on the well house, and the birds are still enjoying it, but I’m probably not going to do another one of those.
I also still have the pretty friendly squirrel out here. There’s probably several of them, but there’s at least one who isn’t very shy.
Such a little cute one! Since I had to delay this post to be more timely with the storm coverage, I thought I should add some birds and squirrels with the snow.
I hope the squirrels have a lot of acorns and walnuts stored for the winter.
