Well, the snow means I’m doing full chores now. I think this is the earliest I’ve started full winter chores since I bought my farm. It’s crazy.
And with selling the farm, I don’t have a lot of hay, but I’m not sure how much I’ll need. My nephew does have more bales if I need to buy some to get through the winter. So it’s all good.
The girls are cozy in the Love Shack.
The boys are doing well in the buck coop. Gabe might need a scarf for his naked neck though.
I’m carrying water in small buckets to everyone, but it’s manageable. I do wish the chickens would stop scratching the deep bedding and throwing it in their water (and food) though.
I hauled a couple of bales of hay to the garage just before the storm started so that I didn’t have to carry as much.
Antigone is the queen of the Morton building. She really thinks she wants to be with the herd, but she would be stuck outside in the snow because she’s such a wimp. She got to come out after my paths got scooped. Not that she’s actually trying to keep her hooves dry like she should.
Everyone else is getting along; although, nobody is happy with the sudden change to real winter.
