Sorry none of the pictures match the post, but I just haven’t had a week that let me take pictures every day. So… This week has had crazy weather. Monday morning I went back to work and had to deal with black ice–there was frost that melted and then refroze. It made for a bit of dicey driving.
Tuesday morning brought a dense fog advisory.
Wednesday morning had more fog, but it was frozen fog. How I wish I didn’t leave before dark because it would have been some amazing photos. Then we had a new record high of 60°F in the afternoon.
Today is rain. Lots of rain–around an inch for my area, which would be a foot of snow. Luckily (in a bizarre ignore global warming way) our ground is thawed, so it should soak in instead of washing and flooding.
Tomorrow is transition day–cooler and snow coming overnight and into Saturday. I think we’ve had every season in this one week. And because we still haven’t had a good ground freeze for going on our third winter, it still means we probably have crazy horrible bacteria and parasite levels. And I don’t want to lose any babies this year.
After consulting with the vet, we’re going to proactively treat my girls who are due in March and April. I hope we good a good freeze and I don’t have to worry about it with my ones who are getting bred for June.
