Due in June

Well, we have our first girl who is due in June.  In related news, we had our first breeding snafu for this round.  I thought it looked like Antigone was coming into heat when I did chores Friday afternoon.  I also had the first time experience of feeding Greg and Wanda and going around to feed Antigone and Kong only to find Kong in with Greg.  I put him back and noted that I’d finish fixing that the next day.  Because the way the panel is set up, it’s easier for Kong to push in than it would be for Greg to push out.  By the time it warmed up enough on Sunday for me to want to go out, I came out to a sight I really did not want to see.

I caught Greg and put him back.  I fixed the weakness in my pen, so they should stay where they belong now.

He does not look happy with getting shut back in the pen.

Kong was really keeping Greg away from Antigone.  So I hope he’s the one who got to breed her.

If it comes out without horns, I’ll know it was Greg.

Kong was really determined Greg wasn’t going to get to her.

Otherwise, I’m going to assume and hope that it is Kong.
