Some Results are In

Well, all of my watching the girls to see who came into heat was somewhat helpful and somewhat just confusing.

Ava was in heat!

I assumed Joy and Daisy were bred.

I’m excited!  I have put my request in for a gorgeous little girl from Daisy and Gabe.

But Pretzel and Antigone leave me confused.  I was not too sure whether or not Pretzel was in heat when she was hopping back and forth between Gabe and Donkey.  So she might be bred, but I have no idea which one would have bred her.

And I never saw Antigone in heat.  But I haven’t seen her in heat since then.  So, maybe Kong managed to breed her.

I’ll just have to keep waiting and watching. The only girl other than Ava, Wanda, and Moonshine, who were supposed to come into heat, was Melba.  I had assumed that Kong was not successful in breeding her.  As an aside, it looks like Gabe is not going to grow any hair on his neck for a while.

Of course, because goats will be goats, the next morning when I went to let the chickens out, I found Melba in the pen with Gabe and Donkey–no clue how she managed to do that.  I have no idea who was successful, but I’m pretty sure she will be due for oopsie babies on April 6th!
