Miscellaneous Around the House

I’ve added a fall wreath to the decor.  I have to say that I love my new front door.  It lets me decorate and be festive.

Sky is happy about the new wreath too.

It’s been a long time since I gave a plant update.  I am trying to keep a bunch of my outside plants going through the winter.  Some are doing well.

Others are hanging in there.  For some reason, my lime tree is really tanking.  I am hoping it will recover, but I’m not sure it will.  I keep throwing lady bugs on it.  I’ve been treating it also, in case in brought bugs in from being outside all summer.

I have this adorable succulent that I got as a start from a friend.  It was getting so big that I had to repot it.  In the process, I knocked two of its leaves off, so I stuck them back in the dirt.

One just rotted, but look!  The second one rooted and is starting to get another little leaf.

I also am trying to force my amaryllis to bloom.  Because we were so warm and wet this fall, I finally decided to try and get it to go dormant by putting it in the refrigerator in the soap room. We’ll see if I killed it or it comes back to life.

Hopefully, I’ll have gorgeous flowers for Christmas again.
