I haven’t seen many squirrels in the last year or so. This one is taking advantage of the walnuts that are falling.
Hopefully a good nut harvest means we’ll have some squirrels staying here. There’s a fence back there for TexWisGirl’s Good Fences.

I had some rather ripe bananas sitting around. I had some cream cheese that needed used. I combined those into toasted walnut banana bread.
Cream:
1/2 cup margarine or butter (softened)
1 8 oz. package cream cheese (softened)
1 1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
Add (mixing thoroughly after each addition):
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup mashed banana
1/2 Tablespoon vanilla
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped walnut
Topping:
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Pour batter into two 4×8 greased bread pans and sprinkle topping over them. Bake in a 350*F oven for about 55 minutes.

I can’t think of anything more beautiful than seeing my happy animals in the pasture while it’s decked out in fall finery.
Surely, there’s some orange here in the pasture somewhere. That’s the theme for Nurture Photography this week. That little black spot standing in the grass is my 3000 pound steer.
We’ve had cooler weather and cloudy skies.
Marley seems to be wondering what’s on the other side of the fence. This is the first he’s been in the Back Forty. That’s one perk of losing your testicles. You can be with the girls.
I love the color that’s starting to show up in the pasture. My hickory nut tree really seems to put on a great display of yellow and orange each fall.
