Better Weather

18 Mar

After being cooped up in the barns and huddled beneath heat lamps for nearly a week, everyone is happy for a return to more springlike weather.

Good. Random. Fun. Weekend

1 May

The Good:  Sunshine!  After so many rainy days this week and rain all day yesterday and today, I finally saw a bit of sunshine this evening.

Of course, it’s supposed to warm up and be sunny all week when I’m at work.

At least the days are longer, so I can hopefully get some stuff done in the evenings.

The Random:  My sister stopped by today and gave me a cup and saucer.  I think it’s an adorable set.

The Fun:  Today, I made three batches of soap because I almost ran out over the weekend.  Now they just need to cure for three weeks.

I also made my first batch of insect repellent lotion bars.  I almost want bug season to be here so I can try it.

Almost.

I do hope you’ll consider coming back to join me for Friday’s Hunt.  The list for this week is at the top of my sidebar.

A Walk in Pasture

11 Feb

Last weekend our weather was nice.  It was especially beautiful Sunday morning before the winds picked up and the clouds rolled in.  We had glorious sunshine!

It was perfect for shadows.

The goats thought it was nice enough to go out to pasture.

Luckily, Myson had his sun visors with him.

I really enjoyed it!

Maggie thought it was perfect for basking.

Pistol and Kizzy were enjoying some pasture time too.  Don’t worry that Pistol didn’t have her twins.

They were safe in the building (or barn depending how loose you are with your definition) with their great-aunt Muffin.  Pistol appreciates it when Muffin kid sits for her.

Finally, I headed back the way I came.  Only this time I noticed tracks.

I went past the tree that cast shadows in the first images.

Then it was into the barnyard.

Home again before the weather changed.  We’ve been cold and snowy since.

I hope you will consider returning tomorrow to join me in Friday’s Hunt.  If you are interested, the prompts for this week are at the top of my sidebar.
