After the Rain

Thursday and Friday were cool and rainy.  It was a constant drizzle with periods of heavier rain.  That’s good because we’re still trying to climb completely out of last summer’s drought conditions.

After two days of rain, however, the goats were thrilled for the sun and warmth to come back on Saturday.

Even the birds were out of the building catching some rays.

We all like the warm, sunny weather.  But we need the rain, and we have another soaking rain coming on Tuesday/Wednesday.  That will be a good thing too.

This weekend has been really warm.  Everyone has just been hanging out and watching the snow melt.

Some llama was already back out there by Saturday afternoon.

By this morning, the goats all went out and stood on the hill for twenty minutes to see how much of the snow had melted in pasture.

It was even nice enough and melted enough today that I let the old ladies and Antigone out of the garage.  She still has to keep that foot dry.

With warm weather all this coming week, it will be time for everyone to go back out to pasture for real again soon.
