The Kids

11 Jul

I feel like I haven’t given much attention to the June kids, so I went out tonight to take pictures of them playing.

I remembered why I don’t have many pictures of them.  As soon as they see me, they stare and try to decide if they are getting a bottle.

Then they’re off like a shot to come check it out, and all I get are goofy flying ears.

Then I have kids bouncing on me, chewing on me, and generally making it impossible to take a picture.

They are fun!

I do hope you’ll join me for Friday’s Hunt this week.  I do have the items for this week listed in the side bar.

Notes on the Weather

22 Jan

This weekend was an all-over-the-place kind of weather weekend.  It started beautifully with the sunset on Friday evening.  I am finally starting to notice it staying light a bit longer.  Thank goodness.

The kids, Mary and Myson, have really been enjoying playing together.  It’s a lot of fun to watch as they buck and rear and butt and bounce.  They are so much fun!

Then it began to snow.  The birds were happy to see full feeders.

I saw lots of blue jays hanging around.

They were waiting for me to fill the dog food bowl.  That is their favorite treat.

For some reason, Coral always seems to be left out in the cold.  I often have to go drag her kicking and screaming help her into a shelter.

With this kind of a cold snowy weekend, the cats were in the house most of the time.  Even though Snickers is sick, he still has the energy to play with Leo.

All those leaves on the floor~well Snickers and Bob think they get to come in the living room window when it’s cold or rainy.  For some reason, they seem to have me trained well.  With our gusty winds, they bring a lot of leaves in with them.  Silly cats.

Finally, I stepped out to crystal clear skies last night to look at Jupiter so close to the moon.  With those clear skies, our temperatures have become quite frigid.  It was -6*F Monday morning and -5*F this morning.

Hopefully, we’ll moderate a little bit and I’ll get to see the kids happily playing again.   It would make it easier to enjoy the longer days and get outside to take some pictures.
