I showed you how the geese were enjoying the pasture before our big snow. Here are a few more scenes from my walk that day.
These last two are the sunrise before our storm.
Winter is still providing us with lots of beauty around here. It looks like we’ll have another storm at the beginning of next week as well.
I’m sharing this with the finale of Nurture Photography, SOOC Sunday and Farm Photo Friday.
This week, Ashley gave us the following topics to find: The Small Things, Illustration, Valentine, Work of Art, and Window Beauty. I’m not going to lie. This was a challenge.
The Small Things: Sometimes, it’s the small things throughout the day that gives me the most pleasure. I love watching the squirrel come and eat Stella’s dog food. They are just so cute.
Illustration: This illustrates what my soap looks like while it is in the mold. It also illustrates why I sometimes feel like I live in a manufacturing center instead of a house. Please forgive this horrible picture. Cute goats are coming up.
Click image to go to our shop and see how they look after they come out of the molds.
Valentine: You give me a reason to do a holiday shoot with the goats, and I’ll jump at that opportunity every time!
Bud and Flower
Work of Art: I used befunky.com and changed this lovely SOOC image of Bambi into a work of art.
Window Beauty: This one was the most difficult. To me the dirty glass pane in the barn is beautiful. I had to search really hard to find a window that I could get to even partially block out the wind and rain and snow. It makes the barn much more cozy for the goats.
If you don’t like that however, here’s a couple of plants looking beautiful and enjoying the south window.
Don’t forget to visit Ashely for more Scavenger Hunt Sunday posts. I’m also sharing this with Farm Photo Friday, SOOC Sunday and Macro Monday.
I believe last weekend I was talking about the mud. Then the weather turned cold again. Now we’re even warmer still. Most of our snow has gone.
This weather is really hard on the birds. I’ve lost a goose, my Naughty Rooster Boy and now two peahens in these crazy up-and-down temperatures. The rest of the geese seem to be doing well, though. Gabby and her hubby were enjoying the mud puddles.
After drinking and cleaning up in the puddles, there’s nothing like preening in the afternoon sunshine.
Our temperatures are supposed to bottom out again. I hope everybody stays well through this next swing.
