Another Uninvited Guest

I tell ya, things have got to quit showing up here.  Cattle, cats, and now…

I heard the dog out on the deck go crazy, and I panicked because I thought he was after the tuxedo cat i the barn.  So I ran out and was relieved (yet annoyed) to see a raccoon.

If my goofy dog ever figures out he could jump the fence if he really tried instead of standing there hopping on his back legs, it would not be a good thing.

Hopefully, this little fella goes back out to pasture where he belongs.

Don’t get me wrong, if they didn’t carry so many diseases and kill chickens, I’d be fine with raccoons.  As it is, they just need to stay in pasture. I will say it was a big relief the dog wasn’t after Tux.  I don’t think it will be too much of an issue.  He followed me out of the barn while I was doing chores, and when the dog barked, he hopped right back through the door.

He’s really looking good since I’ve been feeding him.

It’s hard to get a good picture of him though because he’s constantly trying to get close and rub against me. Sadly, I’ve already kind of gotten attached to him.

I came out the other morning to feed him, and he and Bob were both in the middle part of the barn not fighting.  That’s a huge thing.

We’ll see.
