House Cats

14 Jan

Last weekend, my dog started whining and wanting outside while he was staring out the window.  I always check before letting him out to make sure there’s not a bunny or something in my yard.  This time, it was across the road.

It’s not the first time I’ve seen that cat.  Bob woke me up in the middle of the night last week and wanted out (he hates cat litter).  About a half an hour later, I was woke up to a cat fight.  Yep that big thing was picking on my Bob Cat with his cancer.  I wish he’d just be a house cat.  But he likes going out to the barn.  He likes lounging in the sun.

Did I make you yawn?

And he hates my other cats, especially Rocky who likes to do things like follow Bob or look at him or touch him.  He’s seriously like a toddler.

Rocky says he is innocent!

My poor Bobby boy.   But he does like to come in when the other cats ignore him.

Eating a bit of dry food.

He’s still too thin, and he eats well sometimes; sometimes he doesn’t.

Waiting by the door for me to give him canned food.

But he’s hanging in there.

Whenever I mention to him that he could just stay inside and be a house cat, he tells me to “talk to the paw.”

And he does still enjoy napping on my lap.

That makes me happy too.  Oh, and about that other cat.

Tuxedo Tom needs to lose his pom poms and get vaccinated

He seems to have taken up residence in my barn.  He’s probably a little over a year old.  He is thin, but he’s very friendly and has been fed.  I’m trying to figure out what to do with Tuxedo Tom.  I have a couple of different options. But he is not becoming a house cat at Eden Hills. I’ll let you know what I figure out.
