More Girls In Heat

I swear, I’m starting to wonder if Xerxes bred any of his girls because more have come into heat this week.

I’m really disappointed that so many of my milking girls didn’t settle.

Since Cutie had been a bit run down, I’m not surprised, and it’s probably better for her to have a year off.

Usually, it would be no big deal that they didn’t settle; I’d just put them back with a buck for June babies.

But this year, actually leaving the farm for a vacation leaves me a bit concerned about having a lot of little goats.

I’m not sure how much I can get anyone to do to help while I’m gone.  I don’t have a long time to make the decision about who to breed for June kids.
