Harvest

25 Sep

My soybeans were harvested this weekend.  When I came home from work on Friday, the field had been partially combined.

partially harvested

But there was just enough drizzle to stop them from working.

The truck waiting to accept beans from the combine

It wasn’t long until they were back out there combining again.

They had another truck to dump the beans into.

They finished just about sunset.

It’s a good feeling to have it done.

I’m sure you are very happy to have that done for this year! I enjoyed the pictures. Good thing there was only a little drizzle, and not a downpour!

With the horrible drought, it still wouldn’t have slowed them down much.

Pretty skies! I have seen any harvesting happening here yet. Have a happy Sunday and a great new week!

Harvesting of any sort puts the exclamation point at the end of summer.
