Duster Season

30 Jul

It’s crop dusting season!  One morning bright and early in the last week (my days are running together), I heard the crop duster.

This one was a helicopter spraying the field next to mine.

Turning around over my field; it also came over my barnyard at times.

I am always amazed at how skilled the pilots have to be.

The goats are less impressed.

ready to hide inside

They mostly run for the barn or tarp hut to stay safe from the monster flying over.

Chickens.

I just now saw this post! Better late than never, for sure! We used to hear the crop dusters, too, both when we lived in southern Idaho, and in the Yakima Valley of Washington State. Our son even worked for a crop duster team part of one summer. We weren’t really happy about it because he was required to stand at the end of the field when the plane flew overhead. Not a good thing for one’s lungs!
