Bees and a Bird

20 Jun

The weeds are still out of control where the magnolia tree was.  I know it’s shocking that I haven’t gotten around to getting them cleaned out of there.  Hard to believe it used to be a well-tended flower garden, but goats and dogs…

I have to say, the other day when I was hanging laundry out, I noticed that when I walked through there, it seemed to be buzzing.

It is swarming with bees.

All kinds of bees.

And the occasional butterfly.

Anyhow, I do still plan on getting them chopped down, but now I’ll feel guilty about it.

The wren was in the maple tree above the mess.

Hopefully, next year I can replace the flowering weeds with horrible, nasty seeds with some beautiful flowers and herbs that they will love just as much.

Well, I’ll say this for your weed patch – the flowers on those weeds that the bees are liking so much, are really rather pretty! I’m fascinated with the different bees you pictured. Very nice! You may want to do some research as to what flowers the bees and butterflies love, for next year. I understand about your problem with not getting the area cleaned up. You’ve been extremely busy! Don’t blame yourself.

Your weeds look pretty to me, tiny pink flowers and the bees seem to love your weeds.
Take care, have a happy new week!
