Just Stuff

Haley in the greenhouse. She continues to improve.  Hopefully, I can move her up north soon.

I was a bit surprised when Bob and Rocky were willing to share my bed.  Bob does not do well with other cats.

My silly Maybeline.

Aurora is demanding to be given extra feed.  I try.  Any time I can get it to her without the other llamas or goats attacking us, she gets it.  She really isn’t as thin as she looks.  It’s her skin colors and the shadows and textures from being sheared that makes her look that thin.  She does need to pick up a little weight, but she isn’t that bad for this time of year.

Yes, I keep her feed in the milk room.

I am ready for fresh goat milk, but I just can’t seem to get myself motivated to milk in the morning before teaching early morning classes (I have to be to work at 7:30 am).  But, I’ll be done teaching next week.

Astra feeding Perdita

I’m not so sure Perdita will like this.

I also need to milk Ava, Cutie, and Joy, but I’m pretty sure I need to work into milking that many goats. My hands need to get their strength built back up.

So it might be not quite such a bad thing that those nasty ganders were so mean.  Right now, with the little honkers, they are pretty safe.  As soon as the geese got past her, Zinnia was quick to get away from them.  Those little ones are pretty safe because they have such mean parents.

Geese squawking through the barn.

Dolly might have to be restricted in the milk room.  She’s almost getting fat.

Dolly and Pluto

I’m not sure that’s a bad thing at her age.

Man, I wish some doctor would say that it was okay for me to carry extra weight at my age. ; )

It’s a lot harder to put weight on a goat, and it’s really hard to keep weight on an old goat, so this is really good.
