A Growing Gaggle

7 May

My gaggle of geese has increased.  I heard little peeps on Wednesday evening.  Thursday morning, they were all out with three little goslings.

It looks like I need more practice with the new cell phone camera. Or I shouldn’t zoom in that much.

When I got home, I took the good camera out to photograph them, but they were shy, and the two moms were really giving me the evil eye.

Actually, it’s pretty cool and breezy for the little ones.  One did get brave enough to come out.  Another popped up from mama’s wing.

I never did see the third one.  Who knows if it’s tucked under there or if they already lost it.  I guess I’ll figure it out eventually.

This is about as close as I’ll ever get (even with a zoom lens) because they are surrounded by protective parents.

The one that was out didn’t stay out very long.  S/he was ready to try and tuck back under a nice warm wing.

Oh baby, I’m not sure that’s going to work.

Oh, they are so cute!! It’ll be fun to see them grow up! Thanks for posting the great pictures, even with the mamas giving you the evil eye! I surely hope there are still three there!
