Getting Ready for Frost

10 Oct

I really need to make it up to the garden before it frosts this weekend.  I’m not sure I’m going to make it.  But I did bring my tower of little strawberry plants in from the porch.

I hope they make it.  I have one huge worry for them–Rocky!

Don’t let that sweet innocent look fool you.  He’s quite naughty.

Hopefully, they’ll grow up and be as productive as the big ones I brought in after the dog flung them all across the yard.  They are doing well. I can’t believe they still have berries on them.

They are even sending out shoots again.

You can see Rocky played in the dirt where I’m trying to get it to root.  Brat.

Rocky looks like quite a character. I love your strawberry tower. 😃

I hope your strawberries will do well and that Rocky settles down. From his past history, though, I don’t suppose there’s much hope in that department! Rascal!!

Ooooh wow, strawberries inside! This is something I need to consider next year!

I’ll have to let you know how they work out. I’ve lost some, and I’m not sure why. I’m going to get fertilizer stakes for them and see how that helps.
