Spontaneous Gosling

29 Jun

It seems to have happened again.  Two goslings just showed up on the farm.

This time, Widow Goose didn’t take them.  She still has one big baby, and she was trying to start nesting again.  I stole another five eggs from the new nest.

The big gosling claimed them as her (or his) babies at first sight.  It’s sweet.

And Widow is still there to help keep an eye on everyone.

Yes, this was right before I scrubbed the pan and got clean water. It’s hard to keep clean with such small pools.

They’ll end up being one big happy family!  And I better not have any more goslings show up.

I had to smile when I read about the two goslings appearing at your place. It seems odd that it should have happened again. It makes a neat story, though. Thanks for sharing it.

Well, my sister did ask if she could bring them, and she and I had talked about getting company for Widow Goose. 😉
