A Spring Day

14 Mar

Monday of spring break was beautiful!  We had sunshine and warmth.

The birds were also enjoying the weather.  Widow Goose was taking a bath in the melting snow.

The peacock was enjoying himself.

I have finally figured out a way to tell dad and baby apart–the length of their spurs.  This one is baby peacock.

Odie decided to try going out to pasture.

She only made it as far as the tree, but it’s a start.  I’m dreaming of the day I get to quit feeding them full hay.

Snickers even decided he could lounge on the deck for a while and soak up the sun.

Lily and Cupid really have bonded. In a way I feel bad because Lily is starting to really show her age.  I’m not sure how long they will have each other.

I thought Antigone was being awfully weird sleeping in the snow.  Then I noticed she was in a food pan.

Our beautiful weather didn’t last long, but that one sunny day was reallly nice.  We’re still warm, but all the rain has melted almost all the snow, and we’re deep into mud season.
