More Knitting

26 Dec

I finally got brave enough to try another new project (I believe Project #4).

It’s a hat that is done in the round.

It has a couple of different patterns–one for the band and one for the rest of the hat.

I think it turned out pretty good, but it is a bit smaller than I expected.  Still, I’m happy for a first effort.

Then I decided to try another project in the round ( Project #5).

This one is  a headband.  It turned out pretty good excpet for the binding off.  It wasn’t stretchy. At all.

I went back to my old friend, YouTube, and I think I’ve gotten it figured out now.

Beautiful knitting!! I’m so amazed at your progress!!
Binding off can be difficult. I have a tendency to get it too tight, too.

Glad if you have it figured out, but just in case you haven’t, or want other options, I strongly recommend Jeny’s surprisingly stretchy bind-off, called JSSBO in knitting circles! Many video tutorials out there on it! So happy to see your continued knitting projects!
