While I Was Moving Critters

30 Jan

I’ve been thinking ahead to where I want to put everyone for spring break babies.  I also was getting concerned about Aurora being with just a goat (or seven) in the garage for so long.  Like Stormy, she didn’t seem really happy.  I decided to move her back to the greenhouse.

Aurora

First, I caught Twyla and Toffee and kicked them out of the garage.  They were quite happy to go find their mom, Harley.

Aurora wasn’t too bad for me to catch.  That’s why she is still wearing a halter.  As long as I have to possibly keep catching her, I’m leaving it on.  After I got the lead attached, I just hit the garage door opener and we walked right out the front of the garage.

She was really good going around and into the greenhouse.

Yes, Aurora.  The other llamas are out in pasture.

When they came up, they really didn’t pay much attention to her.

“I don’t care if Aurora is back out here. Do you plan on feeding me?” demanded Odie.

At least she can see them and watch a whole lot of goats.

And she was eating the entire time!

With her by herself, I can tell how much she is eating as opposed to the goats spilling it.

I’ll keep a close eye on her as we go back to colder temperatures, but hopefully, she can stay out here now.  Finally, I did something that didn’t seem to be a whole lot more difficult than it needed to be!
