Good-bye to an Old Friend

30 Sep

If you haven’t been hanging around here for years, you probably don’t know that I used to have an ox and his companion cow.  After I lost the steer, Maxine went to live with my ex-brother-in-law and  his herd of cows.

She got to spend her last years happy rather than being the only cow here.

Friday’s Hunt v4.13

29 Sep

Welcome back to Friday’s Hunt. I want to thank everyone who joined in last week. I had a lot of fun visiting everyone who linked up. It’s very simple. Anyone can participate. The link opens at 7pm Central time and will close Sunday at 7pm, so you have plenty of time to enter. Hopefully, you’ll be inspired to visit some of the other entries.

We are working on round four! It’s hard to believe. I did make a slight change. It will still go through the alphabet for the first prompt, but there are two other prompts that will change each week. As always, you can choose to do one or all. If you enjoy the week’s favorite, by all means continue to add that. If you didn’t participate this week but would like to next week the topics will be: Starts with M, cloth, and everyday things. I will always keep a list of the items for the coming week in my sidebar at the top. I am crazy busy with work off the farm and everything on the farm right now, but I will make sure to visit all participants. Without further ado, here’s my interpretations for the week.

Starts with M, Everyday Things and Cloth:  Everyday things in my milk room and soap room include cheesecloth, jars, strainer, and lots of milk.

I’m been trying to make a lot of Mozzarella cheese to freeze for winter’s use.  I have to say, there is less clover in the pasture this year, so the cheese has the most amazing flavor!

Yummy!

Now it’s your turn!

The Life of a Bob Cat

28 Sep

Sometimes I think Bob has a perfect life.

Bob

Oops.  What woke him up?

Of course.

Still seems like a pretty good life.

I hope you’ll come back to join me for Friday’s Hunt tomorrow.  I have this week’s items listed at the top of the side bar.
