You might recall we had several goats challenging Minnie Pearl for her position as herd queen–Maggie, Lily, Cinnamon, Penny.

Minnie is now retired in the north paddock, so they can’t pick on her. She’s really showing her age.

But we finally have a new queen (I think). I am totally shocked, but our new queen is…Sallie!

I know! She wasn’t fighting or challenging Minnie, but she has become the quiet leader.
I’m good with this. It’s good to have a herd queen too.
