Just Some Farm Animals

5 Feb

Last month I signed up to do an on-line digital photography class.  About three days in, I got the e-mail saying the class was no longer going to be offered, but since I had started it, I could finish.  Oh, but it would no longer be available after Feb. 15. I have been frantically trying to finish the class, and I finally did last night!  Now I might actually have some time to practice what they taught me.  These are just some of my first efforts shooting in RAW.

I think I like it, but it’s a lot of work.  I’ll have to save that for special occasions.

Those are all beautiful photographs. Llenny looks particularly resplendent. I need to learn to do more with my camera, but it takes time, for sure. Also, many of my subjects, especially animals, are fast moving. I don’t have time to mess with manual settings – they are already on the move! But I would still like to learn the options.

I have enjoyed it. It is a challenge to get those fast critters. Always.

Yes time would be a bog issue with me if i shot in RAW but I am sure it is worth it. Your imahes are very good.

Vert nice pictures, Terea. My favorites are ‘Mama and the Kid’ followed closely by ‘Fat Cat’.

The photos are all beautiful! However I’m confused by the term RAW. Can you explain it a little?

    • Teresa February 6, 2017 at 11:25 am #

It is a format like jpeg or tiff. RAW provides the greatest amount of information, but it has to be processed. You can’t just share it straight out of the camera.
