Friday’s Hunt v3.1

6 Jan

Welcome back to Friday’s Hunt.  I can’t believe I’ve been doing this for a year now, and we are starting our third round!  I want to thank everyone who joined in last week.  I had a lot of fun visiting everyone who linked up.  It’s very simple.  Anyone can participate.  The link opens at 7pm Central time and will close Sunday at 7pm, so you have plenty of time to enter.  Hopefully, you’ll be inspired to visit some of the other entries.

If you didn’t participate this week but would like to next week the topics will be:  Starts with B, Week’s Favorite, and creature.   I will always keep a list of the items for the coming week in my sidebar at the top.  I am crazy busy with teaching and working on the farm right now, but I will make sure to visit all participants.  Without further ado, here’s my interpretations for the week.

Starts with A:  I’ve decided to do something a little different for this round.  For each letter of the alphabet, I’m going to list all the goats I’ve ever had that have started with that letter.  Yes, I do have goats for every letter, even if they are not currently on the farm.  A:  Abby, Al, Alex, Alvin, Amos, Amy, Andre, Angel, Annie, Art, Atticus, and Ava.  The only current goat on the farm that starts with A is Ava.

Week’s Favorite: Since I have Minnie with Helen and Wanda and Xerxes in the other half of the greenhouse, I’ve been taking peanuts out to give them when Helen gets her peanut butter meds.  Minnie practically demanded it, and it would be rude not to offer some to Wanda and Xerxes.  I’m pleased to say that Xerxes has decided I might not be so bad after all.  He loves the peanuts!  I do have to watch that he doesn’t get my fingers too though.  Maybe there is hope for turning him into a nice goat instead of a fraidy goat.

Beginning:  I showed you some of the art I was creating out of books yesterday.  Well, it might be the beginning of a new obsession.  Good thing I have  a lot of books. I’m hoping to get a variety of these done to put in my soap room for sale.

I love that picture of Xerxes – I can really see Coffee in his face. ❤ That sure is a long list of A goats! You are really good with naming them. I love your new book art – definitely a neat way to use the vintage books!

I’d say Ava and each of the listed goats rate an ‘A’ in my book! Xerxes is quite handsome and deserving of peanut treats. I like what you have done with the old book – artistry can be in the written word – an any form!

Ava is cute, Xerxes is such a beautiful colour & what you do with creating the shapes from folding book pages is amazing. I really like this Cross one.

That’s encouraging about Xerxes! I like the Cross you made with your book folding. I hadn’t seen that style yet.

Aww! Ava is Adorable! Xerxes is really handsome. I’m trying to remember how old he is. ???
The cross you did in the book is really nice. I sat and looked at it, trying to figure out how you did it!

Xerses is so handsome! Always a challenge to not get nibbled, that’s why I like a dog who can catch a treat.
