Welcome back to Friday’s Hunt. I want to thank everyone who joined in last week. I had a lot of fun visiting everyone who linked up. It’s very simple. Anyone can participate. The link opens at 7pm Central time and will close Sunday at 7pm, so you have plenty of time to enter. Hopefully, you’ll be inspired to visit some of the other entries.
If you didn’t participate this week but would like to next week, the topics will be: Starts with P, Week’s Favorite, and whole. I will always keep a list of the items for the coming week in my sidebar at the top. I am crazy busy with teaching and working on the farm right now, but I will make sure to visit all participants. Without further ado, here’s my interpretations for the week.
Starts with O: The Great Outdoors! I love this time of year. We have just started to see hints of color in the leaves, but the corn fields are turning, and harvest is under way (not on my farm yet, but it has started around the area). This is my pumpkin patch! Yep. It’s all water hemp and a couple of thistles. At least that keeps the goldfinches happy. There are actually pumpkins in there too, but you can’t easily get to them. We are cutting them and taking them up to the pumpkin patch building.
Week’s Favorite: I have to go back to last weekend at the pumpkin patch for my favorite. With the calendar changing to October and cooler weather, we were quite busy this weekend. I got to see family and friends and strangers and it was nice. It was busy enough that I had to spend some time restocking my inventory for this weekend.
Eyes: I llove those big lliquid llama eyes.
He looks pretty much camouflaged next to the dry beans.
Now it’s your turn!
Llenny is a true gentleman, his dark eyes expressive and looking so satisfied on the perfect. The Iowan outdoors are beautiful!
Does Llenny think he is hiding? Those thistles are pretty but aren’t they a ‘noxious weed?’ I hope all but ten of your pumpkins sell, Teresa. Then you will know that you planted just the right amount.
They are. Don’t tell. 😉
I llove Llenny. He makes me smile. Thistles are pretty despite their weedy status. I hope the pumpkin patch is an even bigger success than last year.
I am not so keen on autumn ! Sitting between summer and winter season right in the middle one day warm one day cold, is not my cup of tea, lol ! Llenny has really beautiful eyes with such long eye lashes, he doesn’t need make up ! And what a smile with his two teeth !
Yay, happy for you your pumpkin patch was worth it:)
llama teeth sure are strange.
I don’t envy you the thistles and the water hemp. I’m sorry. But I’m glad your pumpkins did well. And your pumpkin patch too! I always enjoy pictures of Llenny! He’s special!
Thistles are pretty. If only I was brave enough to cut them to make a flower arrangement.
Llenny really is quite bewitching. He has lovely eyes and a very gentle countenance. Glad to hear that you had to restock for the pumpkin patch shop! That’s good news! I just got myself together in time to put up my Friday Hunt post. Glad I was back in time to get something written!
Your llama is so pretty with his big brown eyes. I’m glad your weekend was so enjoyable for you even though it was very busy. Many thanks for hosting as well as linking me in. I appear to be quite busy myself these days and seem to be paying catch up on people’s posts. I hope your week is going well
Llenny make ME smile!
The outdoors always has interesting statements to make and surprises to discover.
LLenny does have beautiful eyes.
