Clean Water

13 Jun

We’re still horribly hot.  It’s also quite humid.  This weather is hard on the animals, so I make sure they have clean water.

Even though it’s a small pool the big geese like it.  Someday, the goslings will get big enough that I won’t worry about them drowning if they get in.  For now, everyone is stuck with a small pool.  They also have buckets and a short waterer that the babies can drink from.

I also make sure the llama and goats have clean water.  I even emptied and scrubbed the 50 gallon tub for them.  Do we see anything wrong with this picture?

This is still the only goose I’ve ever seen get in the tub.  Stinker.

I guess I can’t blame him when I don’t have a big pool out and the swimming holes in pasture are drying up.

Still, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t want to drink his used bath water.

I do hope you’ll come back and join me for Friday’s Hunt this week.  The items are at the top of my side bar.

I’m with you about not wanting to use the not-so-clean bath water for drinking! Goofy guy! The goslings are really cute in their fluffy little coats! I hope your weather cools off. That kind of heat is no fun!

It has been miserable. They had said it would cool down this week, but now it’s supposed to stay hot. 😛

That was one of my biggest frustrations with ducks on my Iowa farm – always taking a bath in someone’s drinking water! I love seeing the goslings though – hope they will make it!

Ducks are bad for clean water too. Yuck. I do hope the goslings make it. We now have those two and four newly hatched ones.

Mallards drink from, and sometimes bathe in our big dog water dish!

Ducks are messy too. Drinking and bathing. LOL But I do like them.

The goose is so funny in that small amount of water. It’s so important for them to have the house to get rid of all the mites and other things. I do hope the goslings make it.

They do take dust baths as well to help with bug control, but they do love their water!

Great shots. Even here is very hot. But it has started raining now.

Thanks. Hope you cool down. We’re supposed to have rain today, but still horribly hot.

Those geese sure know how to take over, don’t they?! I’m sure he’s grateful for the pool. Hope it soon cools down for you. Relentless hot, humid weather is so draining.

They do. It’s their home too. It will be nice when the little ones get big enough I can turn the pool over and really fill it up (or a new one).

I suspect that goose may be a bit eccentric! Nice shots.

Never worry about slow visits. I’m crazy busy and just can’t seem to get around to everyone.

Hello, cute shots of your geese. They are enjoying the pool and water. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

Thanks. They really do love a fresh pool of water!
