Welcome back to Friday’s Hunt. I want to thank everyone who joined in last week. I had a lot of fun visiting everyone who linked up. I’m excited for week twenty-one! It’s very simple. Anyone can participate. The link opens at 7pm Central time and will close Sunday at 7pm, so you have plenty of time to enter. Hopefully, you’ll be inspired to visit some of the other entries.
If you didn’t participate this week but would like to next week, the topics will be: Starts with V, Week’s Favorite, and sunshine. I will always keep a list of the items for the coming week in my sidebar at the top. Without further ado, here’s my interpretations for the week.
Starts with U: I found this nail in the chicken pen. I use them all the time on the farm, but they can be a bit tricky. I might tend to send them flying when I’m trying to nail something with them.
I happened to wander into the greenhouse this evening and noticed I have a goose sitting on a nest under the workbench. That makes at least three geese sitting on nests right now. Maybe someone will hatch goslings and keep them alive.
Week’s Favorite: My Sam is still enough kid to be silly. I just wish he’d be sweet. He was fairly mellow when I got him, but he just will not finish taming down.
How did I get such a cute, smiley guy that I adore and can’t touch. It makes it really hard to try and trim his hooves. I’m going to have to learn how to lasso.
In the Morning: I’m not a fan of mornings, and when the alarm goes off, I tend to hit the snooze button as long as I can. Twice this past week, I’ve not been able to do that. Something woke me up before my alarm even went off. It was this loud maaing. Clover was being a bit demanding about getting milked. I’m glad she likes her job, but she could let me sleep that last twenty minutes. She does not have a snooze button!
Now it’s your turn!
I like your ‘U’, although in your case, ‘Udder’ might be a fine representative for the letter too 🙂 Sam is an attractive fellow, even tho he is too old to act like a kid (chronologically, anyway), and Clover is a cute wakeup alarm!
Udder would be perfect for the letter! Sam is still pretty young, and even the old goats like to play yet. I can’t be mad at Clover. She does have a sweet smile.
Katie wakes me up every morning with her meowing..I guess they just want our company! Thanks for hosting and have a super weekend!
Company or food or whatever suits their whim. LOL Thanks for joining in.
Sam is really adorable. I was lucky with Luke. I just had to put a grain pan down and he would stand for me to clip his hooves. Clover wants her milking grain!
All of my boys are usually sweet. Sam was calm and almost friendly when he had Millie for company, but now he acts like I’m going to kill him. Fionn and Boeris are easy to work with.
Awesome post. I don’t have goats, but I have two cats that won’t let me sleep in the mornings because they think it is time to be fed even if it is only 5:30 am…I don’t feed them til 7. But do you think they will let me sleep…..nooooo. And Sam, what a cutie!!!!
Those cats can be quite insistent!
Sam reminded me of Snoopy (comic strip beagle) being on top of the little house. Will he take his naps up there?
..
It’s a bit too pointy for him to take a nap. I think he was trying to figure out how to get to the leaves on the magnolia tree.
I love the goat standing on the little house, wht a special guardian ! Your U is excellent too and the hidden duck too cute !
Thanks, Gattina. Sam is a sweetie.
Hello, Sam is adorable. Sorry he is giving you trouble. Love the Sam photos, they would be my favorite too. Thanks for hosting. Have a happy weekend!
He’s really no trouble other than trying to catch him to trim his toes. We’re supposed to have several rainy days this week, so I’m going to try to catch him inside!
San is taking a stand.
Yes, he is!
Love Sam!! That would be discouraging, though. I’m sorry… 😦
It is disappointing, but I keep hoping to win him over.
Oh, that Sam! He’s such a rascal! How can he be so cute and yet so….aloof? I especially like the pic of him on the roof! I do hope you get at least one gosling raised.
He really is! I would be nice to have them raise a gosling, but it’s a dangerous world for a little bird. They are so fragile.
Awee the goat on the house is so cute! I admit I had a hard time with “U” and this week is going to be very challenging! 🙂
Violet is always very good. 😉 Although I have to admit, I usually use my goats for the hard letters. LOL
