Brindle and Bode

27 Apr

If you’ve been hanging out here since the kids were born last month, you probably remember that Penny was having a hard time feeding both of her kids.  Brindle was doing well, but Bode was starving.  We tubed him and I squirted milk down his throat, and he was finally doing better.

Well, I think he’s not even skinny now.

He certainly acts like he’s feeling good.

You can still tell he’s smaller than his sister.  It was obvious when I was trying to get a “tail count” shot for next year.

I will say, though, he’s doing pretty darn good.  That warms my heart.

It’s part of being a farmer. We do what we can. It makes us happy when we are successful.

The first pics remind me of mountain goat kids, white against the green.

They like to pretend to be mountain goats. 🙂

He is doing well. I’m sure he’ll continue to grow and fill out and maybe even pass his sister in size.

I try to be. It seems like there’s always something trying to kill them though.

I am glad he is doing well. Maybe he will just be little…but makes it hard to put him in with buks as he gets older.
