I didn’t get around to making anything in the soap room this weekend, but I did spend a lot of time in there trying to get things set up. I had to get more shelves.
I’ve hauled things up from the basement, packed, taken them to the soap room and unpacked somewhere around a million things (just ask my knees).
I’ve placed a couple of orders for supplies. When they all arrive, I’ll start making new items!
I’ve been labeling the soap I made over the last few weeks, so I have room on the curing rack for the next batches.
I also had to go shopping at the thrift store. Who knew it would be so hard to find a basic double boiler? Come to think of it, my last one came from a yard sale.
I also found this lovely treasure while I was at the thrift store. I had to have it just because.
My dad was super sweet and turned the cut out counter top from the sink into cutting boards! I’m thrilled to have these!
Sharing with Tuesday’s Treasures and The Good. The Random. The Fun.
I do hope you’ll come back to join me for Friday’s Hunt this week. The items are at the top of my side bar.
ooooh those shelves look great, nice and sturdy. perfect for holiday all your lovely soaps, i like all the different colors!!!
Thanks. They are nice shelves. I think I still need another shelf of some kind. I think I’m going to outgrow this room pretty quickly. LOL
It looks fantastic! I wish I could visit! I’m very happy for you!
Did WordPress make the changes in the appearance to your page, or did you do that? It was quite a surprise the other day.
Have fun in your beautiful room!
I did it. I’m not sure I can leave it (I might have problems with change). People suggested that the old theme was difficult to figure out the comments.
Your soap room is very well stocked, Teresa. Better than my hair cutter lady’s. I will have to check up on Goat Milk Soap. There must be benefits in using it. We like goat cheese.
I was surprised to find the comment button here at the bottom. But that seems more natural to me.
I like your vase find. We have a couple of niches way up high in our house. The people before us had a tall vase in each one. We haven’t decided yet what to put.
..
I am almost fully stocked with soaps, but I want to do some new candle fragrances, and then I’m starting on new items! It’s very exciting (and a bit scary). I hope you like the new theme for its ease in commenting.
You are so organised! I’ll bet your soaps smell really good!
I’m trying to get organized. I really can’t stand the thought of making anything until I have it just right. It does really smell good in there!
The display of your wondful colourful soaps on the shelves looks fabulous. That vase was a wonderful fund.
Thanks! I really liked the vase.
Hello, the shelves look fantastic in your new soap room. The soaps and candles are colorful. The vase is a pretty find. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
Thanks! Hope you have a great day too, Eileen.
Progress and great use for the counter top pieces.
I was glad to have them. My dad is awesome!
The fragrance there will be too good.
It does smell wonderful in there!
The first thing I noticed was how neat and tidy your shelves are, a whole lot better than mine right now. Enjoyed the post, neat thrift shop finds and those cutting boards your dad made would be ideal. Lovely looking soaps too. Very nice post, I enjoyed it very much 🙂
Well, I just unpacked in there. Come back in a month, and it won’t be near as neat. I can promise that!
You are very resourceful. What a nice display of your soaps. Have a great Tuesday.
Thanks. I’ve been working for this for a long time.
Teresa, thrift store treasures can be the best! Thanks for sharing this week at Tuesday’s Treasures. I look forward to your next treasures.
Thanks. I couldn’t resist the vase with peacocks. Reminds me of mine. Thanks for hosting!
Great mix of photos!
Thanks!
i am so in love with your soap room!!
Thanks. Me too. Now I just have to start using it.
Those shelves look so colorful and cheerful…
I love that vase that you chose as the tumbnail for Tuesday’s treasures.
Thanks. I couldn’t resist it when I saw it at the thrift store.
Teresa, The soap room looks great!!! It must be nice to have space and a place for everything. I hope your soap and candle making grows because of the blessing of space. Sylvia D.
It is exciting, but I think I’ve already decided it isn’t big enough. LOL
