Yesterday was a horribly gray, dreary (but warm) day. Do you see those rows of green in the field? That’s rye. We planted it as a cover crop to help with weed control in what will soon become this year’s pumpkin patch.
The goats were enjoying the pasture. The rains didn’t come until evening. Then there were some downpours. Luckily, it didn’t leave us too much rain.
The good thing is that it was wet enough that today was not a day for tiling. That means, that the water was hooked up in my soap room. I’m busy moving in, and I hope to make my first batch of soap out there this weekend.
This evening, we have a mix of dark clouds, puffy clouds, and brilliant sunshine. Of course, they are calling for a mix of rain and snow by morning. Surely that’s just Mother Nature’s April Fools joke.
I do hope you’ll come back tomorrow to join me in Friday’s Hunt. The items for this week are listed at the top of my sidebar.
Sharing with Skywatch Friday. I also forgot that Nancy is reviving her Random 5 Friday. Hopefully, this is random enough. I’ll do better at remembering next week. I hope…
Oh my! Nobody’s here yet?! Well you surely did get some gorgeous clouds! I especially like the last picture!!
And the soap room is finished??? WOW!!! I got goosebumps for you!! That’s really exciting!
I am completely head-over-heels excited. And exhausted from moving. I still have more moving to do, too.
Wonderful views of the sky.
Thanks, Rajesh.
Beautiful sky.
Sydney – City and Suburbs
Thanks, Jim. They were dramatic.
Beautiful shots!
Thank you so much!
We have had snow flurries all week long! I hope all this snow will bring beautiful wildflowers when it gets warmer.
I’m ready for wildflowers! Hope you don’t get too much snow.
Looking forward to seeing the soap room in action. Great sky shots.
Me too! Hopefully, I’ll get to use it this weekend.
Hello, we have the same dreary skies here this morning. I heard snow one day too, I thought winter was over. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend.
Mother Nature is just pranking us for April Fools. Luckily, I think the snow missed us here. Just gray and rain again.
Link up should be working… so sorry for the inconvenience. Nancy
Thanks, Nancy!
how exciting to get to use your new soap room!
It is very exciting! I can hardly wait.
Beautiful sky shots with its ominous weather predictions ~
Wishing you peace in each day ~ ^_^
Thank you, Carol. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
It’s April 1st and anything can happen!
I like your sky shots – silver lining, indeed.
The skies were crazy yesterday with bright sun, dark clouds, and light puffy clouds all jumbled together.
Beautiful skies! I bet you are excited about your soap room … good for you!
Beyond excited! I might never leave again once I get started working in there.
Well I hope you didn’t get any (snow) for April Fool’s Day. Those were some stormy looking skies.
I found it interesting about planting the rye in the pumpkin patch.
Enjoy working in your new soap room.
The snow stayed north of my area! Very thankful for that. I am still busy moving in tonight. Hopefully, I’ll get to make something out there this weekend!
Your ‘soaping room’ sounds really good, Teresa. Mom used to make lye soap back when I was small. She would have loved to have a modern place like yours. She didn’t even have running water to the house.
I guess you will be selling homemade soap?
..
I’ve been selling soap for several years now. This will also allow me to expand my line of bath and body items. I’m very excited!
It looks so green and growing there! The soap making sounds interesting.
The spring rains are really making things come to life!
I little birdie told me you were moving south… glad the weather didn’t spoil too many of your plans. xo
I am getting moved into the soap room. Soon I might never leave there. LOL
