Friday’s Hunt v1.13

25 Mar

Welcome back to Friday’s Hunt.  I want to thank everyone who joined in last week.  I had a lot of fun visiting everyone who linked up.  I’m excited for week thirteen!  It’s very simple.  Anyone can participate.  The link opens at 7pm Central time and will close Sunday at 7pm, so you have plenty of time to enter. Hopefully, you’ll be inspired to visit some of the other entries.

If you didn’t participate this week but would like to next week, the topics will be:  Starts with N, Week’s Favorite, and vintage.  I will always keep a list of the items for the coming week in my sidebar at the top. Without further ado, here’s my interpretations for the week.

Starts with M:  Luckily, my many trips in and out of the barn and sleep deprivation allowed me to see the big M on my barn door.   I know, I know.  It looks like two As with an L in between, but it looked a lot more like an M when I was using a flashlight and I was sleep deprived.

I also have my Mary.  I used to call her Mary, Mary, quite contrary, but I think she was taking that a bit too much to heart.  Now I call her Mary, Mary, Miss Extraordinary!

And now she has a mini-Mary.

Week’s Favorite:  Dolly had her kid.  Adorable little thing!  The only way I could like him any more is if he were a she.  Dang!  I’ve already put my request in for a girl next year, but I’m not sure it will do any good.  Out of the sixteen kids she has had, she has only had three girls.

Bird or Wings:  I was going to play and have fun with this one, but the weather and kidding just didn’t let me get it done.  Instead, you get these two.  They both hope to have new babies running around by mid-April.

Thanks for joining in.  Now it’s your turn!

We always name one of our favorite cows Mary. Your Mary has a beautiful baby…along with all the other adorable kids on your farm! I’ll bet it’s noisy around there! 🙂

Oh yes. PJ has his mother’s way of screaming his head off just to say, “Hey, maa. Where are you?” I always think he’s dying.

I’m not sure if I’m tired but I don’t see the M on the barn door but do see big Mary and mini Mary. Al. These babies arriving at the same time sure must have you hopping and so many cute new faces.
    Thank’s for hosting Teresa.

I think you have to be tired to see the M. That’s it. They do keep me busy.

I know! I love my spots!

I finally see the M! Mini-Mary, so cute. Dolly’s boy–he’s adorable! I need him! I hope all that sitting pays off for the geese.

    • Teresa March 26, 2016 at 9:05 am #

It’s easier to see when sleep deprived. Trust me. 🙂 I really wish he were a girl that I could keep. Dang Dolly!

Really cute babies, Teresa. I.e. cute kids!! Mary van de Yell Looks all business, not even a hint of a smile. little-Mary won’t be so serious, I can tell.

Thanks. Mary was busy being a mom when I interrupted her with the camera flash. The kids are never serious!

Hello Teresa, I just wanted to stop back and say thank you for linking up your post. I always enjoy your kids and goats. Happy weekend and Happy Easter!

Of the ‘M’ I like the barn door – but really admire Mary! A beauty who looks proud of her new treasure! Dolly should be everybody’s favorite this week. Your goose moms-to-be are keeping they clutch warm, doing their duty so well. I hope to see the goslings when they arrive (and mom lets you get their pics). All nice views and Happy Eater

That boy of Dolly’s is killing me. I want a girl just like that next year (only with wattles). It’s always a challenge to photograph the goslings with such protective parents.

I see lovely A’s and if you step back I bet a couple of big X’s. That could be an M at the stretch of the imagination. Love Mary and mini Mary.

    • Teresa March 26, 2016 at 4:32 pm #

It really did look like an M when I was sleep deprived in the middle of the night. LOL

  13. Mama Zen March 26, 2016 at 11:47 am #

    Such adorable babies!

  14. brokenteepee March 26, 2016 at 4:10 pm #

I am loving all of the baby goats. They make me smile.

    • Teresa March 26, 2016 at 4:34 pm #

I am glad you are enjoying them. 🙂

  15. Jeanne March 26, 2016 at 9:50 pm #

No problem here, seeing the M in the barn door. But Mary and her mini Mary are as pretty as can be! I can’t help but wonder why PJ and his mom are screamers!

    Happy Easter!

    • Teresa March 26, 2016 at 9:56 pm #

They inherited that yell from Pistol’s mom, Dolly. Really. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone running because I thought someone was dying, and Dolly was just talking to her kids.

  16. Anni @ I'd Rather B Birdin' March 27, 2016 at 4:44 am #

Only three out of 16 were girls? It’s not her fault….the sex is determined by the male isn’t it? Better start talking with the billy goats and get them straightened out. lol ==========but, oh so adorable they all are.

I would like to convey my thanks for your sharing of wonderful birds and photos of the babies today and adding your link at I’d Rather B Birdin’. It’s always a pleasure visiting with you.

    • Teresa March 27, 2016 at 1:33 pm #

Yep. I’ve been talking to Sam about how he was brought to the farm to give me my next generation of milking does. 🙂
