Happy Birthday

2 Feb

Minnie and Meg are celebrating birthdays this week.  Some time.  I don’t know exactly what day, but they were just a few days old when I brought them home.  They didn’t even have horn buds.  Now they are twelve-year-old ladies.

I have to say, I am quite impressed with my girls.  I do adore them!  Although, I do think Minnie should quit fighting.  Just saying.  I’m sharing with Song-ography.  Yep.  Happy Birthday song!

I’m also sharing the woodpecker for Wild Bird Wednesday.  I love that I can open my door and these little guys don’t fly away because it’s much clearer than shooting through the distorting kitchen window.

I do hope you’ll come back on Friday to join me for Friday’s Hunt.  The item for this week’s hunt is at the top of my sidebar.

Congratulations on your babies yesterday!!! They are soooo cute!! How is it possible for does to get bred through a fence?? We don’t want that to happen!!!

Well, Fionn has figured out how to do it. I admit, I may have yelled on more than one occasion, “Kizzy, back away from the fence,” when she was in heat.

And how does a goat celebrate its birthday?

Minnie decided to prove she was young by going out and fighting. Meg just stayed in. I was horrible because I forgot to take them a treat of peanuts. I’ll have to do that tomorrow.

Well I guess you’ll have to give Minnie and Meg extra peanuts for all the Happy Birthday wishes from your readers! That’s pretty neat that they have made it to 12.

I really like the picture of the woodpecker. It’s such a beautiful bird!

      I certainly will! Tonight.

They really are doing well for their age. Meg is starting to look old, but Minnie looks great.

Isn’t it amazing how fast kids grow old? 😉

    • Teresa February 3, 2016 at 2:14 pm #

It’s scary how fast they grow up and grow old.

This year’s tail count is Litha’s twins from last year, Jake and Jenny. 🙂

They are getting old. I don’t know how it happened, but they are.

I’m sure that Minnie thinks she’s just hitting her prime, and “a gal’s gotta do what a gal’s gotta do”……and she’d tell you that goats like to fight!

    • Teresa February 4, 2016 at 6:44 pm #

I know, but I am still going to tell her to take a break. Let someone younger do the fighting.
