Gorgeous Weather Weekend

30 Jan

We have a perfect weather weekend!  It’s sunny and not windy.  The temperatures are warm.  Everyone was enjoying the weather, including me!

It also means Helen’s arthritis isn’t bothering as much.  She was actually lying down sleeping quite soundly when I got home yesterday.

Today she’s been dead to the world!  So glad she’s finally getting some good rest.

The geese were stretching.

The goats were basking and just enjoying being out.  Actually, they turned crazy and have been beating up gates and fences and each other and generally driving me crazy.  I am happy to report that so far all the goats are doing well after getting into the grain in the barn.

I’ve seen a couple with diarrhea, which means they got too much at once, but they are still passing it, so that’s a good thing.  I’ll be confident they are all fine in another day.

With the wonderful weather, even the common sparrows are beautiful.

We’re enjoying the weather this weekend because we’re supposed to get a winter storm and turn cold again by Tuesday.  Hope you all have a great weekend.

If you want to join us, there’s still time to link up to Friday’s Hunt.

I’m sharing today with Skywatch Friday, SOOC Sunday, Shadow Shot Sunday, Saturday’s Critters, and Bird d’Pot.

Yes, enjoy the sun while it’s shining. The goats have such pretty beards! One would think they had recently been to the salon!

Goats do like to stay neat and clean. Sam has a burr in his bangs and beard, and it’s driving me crazy, but he won’t let me take them out.

So love the faces of your goats. Bud’s expression is adorable. Great to see you are still getting sparrows. They have diminished significantly in my peninsula world.

    • Teresa January 31, 2016 at 8:30 am #

We have tons of sparrows. Bud was just scratching his face. He’s so funny.

    • Teresa January 31, 2016 at 8:32 am #

Helen is happy to be in a place with no other big goats. It’s a lot easier for her to relax.

  12. magicalmysticalteacher January 31, 2016 at 7:48 am #

Oh, the poor goose, trying to keep its feet warm!

    • Teresa January 31, 2016 at 8:32 am #

We decided long ago the geese must have rubber feet. They’ll play in a pool of ice water. This one was just stretching.

It’s supposed to turn cold here in South Texas too….but at least no snow. lol

Love the bird images, but you know by now I so enjoy your goat images too. That 2nd one down from the top is my absolute favorite today.

All of your pictures are great! I chuckled when I saw the top of Bud’s head showing as I scrolled through them – I recognized him by just the very top of his head! He’s so cute! I’m so glad the corn munchers are doing well!

    • Teresa January 31, 2016 at 7:42 pm #

Bud is pretty recognizable with no horns. He’s also pretty sweet. It is a relief that everyone is doing well.

  19. Marie-AZ February 1, 2016 at 9:18 am #

All the animals are so adorable! How wonderful it must be to have them around, and to be able to photograph them whenever you want, as well as love and care for them! Poor little Helen having arthritis…I feel her pain!

    • Teresa February 1, 2016 at 1:13 pm #

Helen is doing amazingly well with the meds, which is a huge relief.

  20. pattisj February 3, 2016 at 11:37 pm #

    • Teresa February 4, 2016 at 6:41 pm #
