The Perks of Being a Yard Goat

22 Dec

You might recall that I have a strict rule against yard goats.  Yeah, who am I kidding?  Muffin and Pistol are enjoying their life in the yard.

I’m really pleased with how they are doing.  Muffin still has some obvious short-term memory issues, but she seems quite happy.

Pistol is doing so well that I’m going to try to get  her back with the rest of the herd when we get done breeding for June babies.

special needs require special treatment aka perks. 🙂

They do deserve to be spoiled. Of course, everyone is getting older out there. They all think they need special treatment.

I don’t know what I’d do without goats now.

We sold our two special goats recently _ they were young and did not fit our program. They fit well with new owner. It was tough, one was our bottle baby, but the right thing to do. So now we spoil our very pregnant herd queen who demands massages each day. Who am I to argue with a queen??

      The queen always rules!

Kind of like Pricilla – they deserve a little extra special treatment.
