After the Rains

14 Dec

The rains seem to have finally quit for now.  It’s crazy to have 3 1/2 inches of rain in December.  Luckily, my hills keep me from flooding badly, but my barnyard is still a mess.

Still, we are much better than some places that have real flooding that have caused them to lose their water and have to evacuate.  Here’s to a bit of a dry spell (but not to drought levels).

Wow, I am glad you are OK there. The flooding sounds awful, I feel for those who had to evacuate. Casey is cute! Happy Tuesday, have a great week!

I think it was mostly one small town that didn’t have a city sewer system. Means they don’t have clean water to use.

Rain…it seems like sometimes it’s either feast or famine. I can’t imagine the flooding that some areas have. Glad you’re having some better weather, and hopefully can soon dry that barnyard out!

I’m afraid for what the future holds. Hope you stay safe and get a chance to dry out (but not back to drought).

We’ve had a lot of rain too…enough that the streams and rivers are pretty high. Then Sunday morning we were surprised to see a couple of inches of sloppy, wet snow! It increased though the day, and today moist of it is melted. Tomorrow evening were supposed to get a goodsized storm, which will probably be rain.

Casey is a good looking goatie. Who is the mom?

Casey was one of Scarlet’s last kids. I have both him and his sister Cookie.
