The Boys and the Snow

21 Nov

The big boys on the farm are pretty mellow about the snow.  I cannot express how grateful I am that my two big bucks have good shelter now.  They would not make it with that temporary shelter anymore.

For the wethers, it was just another day, but they had to dive under the snow to find anything to eat.  They did finally give up and wait for me to give them hay.

The young bucks weren’t too thrilled.  They are mostly hanging out inside, but Sam did come outside for a few minutes when I was hauling hay to them.  I had planned on selling my seven boys from June today, but the weather put a stop to that.  I don’t know when I’ll get them sold now.

The biggest wimp?  Llenny.

I think his plan is to stay in the barn and demand room service all winter.  Silly llama!

LOL So the truth comes out about Llenny and the cold!

    • Teresa November 21, 2015 at 9:40 pm #

I think he doesn’t like the snow getting in the long fur around his feet.

I don’t like snow around mine, either. 😉

Well, this is about the most snow we’ve had this early. I was not prepared for it.

Hello, why not get waiting on! I love them all but Sam and Llenny are my favorites today. Happy Sunday, enjoy your new week!

    • Teresa November 22, 2015 at 8:53 am #

Llenny could become quite spoiled over the winter.

You really got dumped on for a first snow. Great shots of the furfamily.

    • Teresa November 22, 2015 at 2:22 pm #

It was quite the event for the first snow of the season. It should be all gone in a couple more days.

How much snow did you get? The pictures are so great, and Sam is adorable! What a face!

    • Teresa November 22, 2015 at 6:25 pm #

We got 7 or 8 inches. Hard to tell when it’s that wet and the ground is that warm. It will pretty much be gone in a couple of days.

    love his leg warmers. 🙂

    • Teresa November 22, 2015 at 7:11 pm #

You’d think he’d be fine in the snow, but I think the snow is clinging to the edge of those leg warmers. Kind of like wet socks.
