First of the Month Reflections

3 Nov

I cannot believe we’re already in November.

Last month just flew by in a blur, and the pumpkin patch is shut down for the year.  We didn’t sell quite all the pumpkins, as you can see.  The wind has been hard on our corn shocks.

We do still have a few things to put away, like the picnic tables.

We’re already planning for next year.  We’re hoping to get the floor on the loading chute fixed, so it’s safe to walk on.  We also need to clean up the junk the goats uncovered in the area I had them penned (when they cooperated).

I’m slowly hauling the corn from the corn pool back to my place to feed the goats.  There’s a big pile of brush that nobody mentioned, but it needs burned and then cleaned up.  There’s a lot of brush to be cleaned out of the tall grass too.

We have lots of plans for growing.  I can hardly wait!

Wow, the pumpkins, awesome picture! Corn shocks – fond memories, cool shot!
So much to do yet before you button up for winter, I admire your energy.

Love that first picture, so pretty. If you want to get rid of some pumpkins wildlife centers will usually except donations of some for enrichment items and food for various wildlife 🙂

I figure the deer and other wild animals will enjoy them. I need to bring more down here for my animals.

Very nice pictures! It’s kind of sad that it’s time to shut down, but there’s next year, and I hope it will be even better!
