Seeing Orange

26 Aug

Looky!  Looky!  We’ve got pumpkins!

I’m so excited to see all the pumpkins in the patch.  They are really just starting to turn orange, but I’m really excited about it.

I had to go to the courthouse last night, and my special use permit was approved.  I get to have my pumpkin patch!

Sharing with Alphabe-Thursday for the letter O.  O is for orange.

It really is exciting to see all the changes taking place up there. It doesn’t hardly look like the same place.

Wonderful! There’s nothing much better than all the things you can make and do with pumpkins in the fall 🙂

Hopefully, we’ll have a lot of people come to our pick-your-own pumpkin patch to get their pumpkins for all those great things.

Teresa, that is so great. I’m so excited for you. Love the pumpkin. So, how many will you have?

    • Teresa August 26, 2015 at 9:47 pm #

I have no idea. There’s an acre planted, so it’s a lot.

There’s a lot of them. It will be fun when the plants die down some and we can really see how many there are.

What fun! When I taught first grade, we grew pumpkins so the children could watch the different stages of the growth process. Good luck with your pumpkin patch.

Fantastic news. Now how are you getting the news out there, about Pumpkin Picking when they Re ready for picking?

  11. Claire Moxon August 27, 2015 at 5:56 am #

Hooray! So glad you got approval and that you can have your pumpkin patch and have your events there! What fun! Did you plant all the same kind this year? I’ve noticed more and more different colours and shapes/sizes of pumpkins showing up the stores in recent years. It would be fun to try different kinds, but probably not so convenient at planting time.
