Finally Making Progress

24 Jun

Finally!  The contractor came and we discussed the plans for my garage.  I have someone set to tear it down.  I’m finally making progress!  Except, we’re waiting on a woman.

Lucy

Lucy

Everything is still on hold until Lucy is off the nest.  It seems like she’s been sitting there forever.  Come on babies!  Hatch!

Sharing with Song-ography for the Brad Paisley’s Waitin’ on a Woman and Alphabe-Thursday where the letter this week is F.  F is for finally making progress or forever because that’s what it seems to be taking.

I can’t be too mad at Lucy. She’s a pretty girl.

    Praying she goes soon.

Lucy will come in her own time ~ glad your ‘work in progress’ is moving along though !

    Happy Weekend coming to you,

It’s pretty slow moving, but once she’s off the nest, it should pick up the pace.

Oh what we don’t have too do for our animals! Any idea how long it’ll be before she vacates her nest? I’m glad you have someone to get the work going!

    • Teresa June 26, 2015 at 8:39 am #

If the first day sitting was the day I noticed her, they would hatch on the 30th. I imagine (hope) it will be before then.

    Goose stops work!

    • Teresa June 26, 2015 at 8:39 am #

      Makes for a good headline!

  8. Gattina June 25, 2015 at 12:47 am #

Apparently she is not in a hurry, she must think as long as I sit here nobody can destroy my nest, lol !

    • Teresa June 26, 2015 at 8:40 am #

Twenty-eight days. Nothing will convince her to move before then.

  9. Eileen June 25, 2015 at 4:22 am #

Oh poor Lucy the pressure is on! She does not look in a hurry or even worried. Cute shot. Have a happy day!

    • Teresa June 26, 2015 at 8:40 am #

It’s certainly a job that can’t be rushed.

Ha! Lucy knows where her priorities lie, and they are not with your garage!! Hope the babes are born soon!

    • Teresa June 26, 2015 at 8:41 am #

She’s pretty smart building her nest in there. It’s a safe place.

I love that you are waiting for her to hatch her babies!

    • Teresa June 26, 2015 at 8:41 am #

What else could I do? It’s my Lucy.

It looks like Lucy is taking her time. That’s funny!

    • Teresa June 27, 2015 at 10:02 pm #

Twenty-eight days. They should hatch by June 30th at the latest, and I’m going to be mad if she doesn’t hatch any.

Lucy is holding up the works. Can’t wait to see her fluff balls.

    • Teresa July 1, 2015 at 11:57 am #

Not thinking there will be any. Seems like her eggs were no good. 😦

  16. Jenny Matlock July 8, 2015 at 5:02 pm #

Oh no. I read your last comment. I’m sorry her eggs weren’t any good. She seemed so diligent in her family duties!

Thanks for linking to the letter F.

    A+

She really was. I think it was that age old idea of “location, location, location.” She was just in too wet and icky of a spot with all the rain we’ve had.
