The items for this week’s Scavenger Hunt Sunday are: season, what I’m looking at, in motion, it means a lot to me, and photographer’s choice.
I’m loving summer! I’m done working and get to spend all my time on the farm. That makes it my favorite season. It doesn’t hurt that it’s beautiful too.
I love seeing happy, healthy goats in a lush pasture. I especially like seeing Bud out there looking good considering how sick he was last fall. Don’t get me wrong, I still have to daily check to make sure he’s dripping urine and I worry about urine scald and infections, but he seems happy. I do adore that boy, and it means a lot to me that he’s still here and doing well.
When I was walking out in pasture earlier this week, I captured this heron in motion. I’ve seen quite a few flying over this spring/summer. I really need a pond.
This is a flower I saw in the pasture. I’m not sure what I’m looking at, but it’s a pretty little one.
Photographer’s Choice. I was thrilled to see this spider wort open and bloom this week. I thought the whole clump had died over the winter. There’s hardly any left, but hopefully they’ll recover.
There’s a lot to love about summer!
I’m also sharing with Mosaic Monday, Macro Monday, I Heart Macro, and Monday Mellow Yellows.
All your pictures are so great. Glad that Bud is doing well & hoping he continues! Hoping you & the animals stay well in this humidity. Hope you got your air running. Pulled alot of weeds this morning.I’m sure they loved the rain as much as the crops and flowers did. 🙂
My AC is fixed! At least for now. LOL Hope you stay cool. I was happy not to have to water the garden last night.
That first picture is so simple and so perfect, I love it! So happy Bud is doing well 🙂
I thought it was the perfect look of summer. I’m thrilled with how well Bud is doing. He really scared me last fall.
i like the grasses and the blooms, too. and happy goats, of course. 🙂
Thanks. Happy goats really make me happy. 🙂
These are beautiful! Happy for you to have so much time out of doors and doing what you love ~ that first shot is just dreamy…I feel like I could wander there for hours.
Thanks. I would never leave the farm if I didn’t have to. 🙂
Beautiful pictures! I’m so glad Bud is doing so well! He had me worried last fall too! The spiderwort is lovely! I’m thankful too, for AC!
Thanks, Jeanne. He really is doing well.
It is always a pleasure to look at your pictures, they are beautiful and sometimes funny too (goats are funny).
Goats are certainly the clowns of the animal world! Thanks for stopping by.
I always love your goats, I am happy that Bud is doing so well. The first grass shot is lovely. Have a happy day!
It is a relief to have Bud so happy and doing well.
I love the way bees enjoy the pollen on spiderwort! I have some in my gardens where it tends to spread like crazy so I’m surprised you’ve lost so much. Hmmm. Ah, Bud is lucky to have you care about him so much!
The spiderwort was thick and healthy last year, and I don’t know what happened to it. I think I’m pretty lucky to have Bud. 🙂
They really do take a lot of work and care. Even then, things like Bud’s bladder stones happen. They are worth it though!
Lovely pictures.
Thanks. 🙂
Beautiful summer shots!
Thanks!
There is obviously so much more to your goats than admiring how cute they are and it must be such a worry when one becomes ill. I see the cute little behind count for 2015 on your sidebar, congratulations Teresa .
Spiderwort is hard to kill and if your clump dies, odds are it has travelled elsewhere to inhabit. Mine shows up all over the place.
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.
I love the grass photo! So pretty!
I thought it just seemed like the perfect summer scene. Thanks.
That first image just says “summer”. So glad Bud continues to do well.
Thanks. It is a relief for him to be doing so well.
Spiderwort is very hardy and grows here prolifically spreading to many spots….ti can handle weather extremes so i bet yours will recover and grow beautifully.
I was really surprised when the spiderwort didn’t come up well because it’s been there for several years. I love them.
Love the shots of the goats! I used to have two goats when I was young, and have always thought they are the best little farm animals for entertainment and loveableness 😉 We have a small backyard pond, and the great blue heron has visited it in the past, and he ate all our goldfish! Now we keep it covered with black netting which has worked so far.

Poor heron. Thought you had put out a bird feeder just for him. LOL
Love your photos. Especially fond of the goats!!
Thanks, Shirley!
So glad Bud is out and about enjoying the pasture and company of all the other goats. Your flower photos are wonderful, the details on the spiderwort amazing! Thanks for sharing the love up-close with I Heart Macro ♥
Thanks, Laura. It really does make me happy to see Bud doing so well.
